I’m so excited to share this podcast interview with you all! I got to chat with the ladies, Gwen and J, on the FIRE Drill podcast. It was such a great time!
We talked about how Adam and I have designed our life, buying and renovating properties, travel, and the confusion behind early retirements. Plus we chatted about why I was first inspired to take a mini-retirement although it made zero sense financially. And in a rather heartfelt moment, why I love adoption so much.
I hope you’ll go listen! Download a few extra while your there. Leave them a great review if you like it. And share with someone who needs to hear this. Small acts of kindness, right?

No! Way! Downloading now….will listen during my drive back to the mountains on Thursday! Great podcast, too cool that you had the opportunity to be on their killer show! Looking forward to it!
Thanks Fritz! =)
Just listened while cooking dinner – and loved every minute. So nice to hear your voice after reading your blog for a while!!
Thanks, Maria! These things are fun because little parts of our story or ideas that I never get around to talking about on this site always pop up. =)
This was easily one of Gwen and J’s best podcasts. My only gripe is that it was too damn short. The world needs more Jillian! Hope all is well in Big Sky country. Merry Christmas to you, Adam, and the tribe.
Thanks so much! And no worries about the short length. I just recorded one with Pete from Do You Even Blog that is a quick 3 hours long. =) Plus I have my new mic so hopefully, the sound is on point. =)
Awesome. I wasn’t familiar with Do You Even Blog. Mrs. G and I will be listening to it today.
I’m actually thinking about taking a year off work next year. Probably buy an RV and go cross country, visit national parks, camping etc along the way. This has been a tough year for me, and I’m feeling a little burnt out.
A year off is a great way to refresh, get some perspective and refocus. I took a month off for a cross-country trip in my 20’s and it was just what I needed.
Finally got to listen to the podcast! Wonderful, and again I love the adoption story, the world needs more people willing to give these kids a chance and a home 🙂
